The Film is Not Dead workshop brings some incredible photographers together – and sometimes we model! Look out for Gary and I posing in the June workshop here in Boston!
Wow…talk about stunning! She is of course beautiful, but your way of capturing her on film takes it all up a notch.
I LOVE that first one. Great work! Can’t wait to see you in front of the camera :-)
Thanks for the blog love! :) Your work is great! Love these, esp. that 1st one. Gorgeous.
Hi! Love the pictures! I am new to film and just got the Portra 800. Did you overexpose this with an ISO lower than 800, say at 640 or 400? I am a little confused about what ISO is best to shoot Portra overexposed to get that pastel, creamy effect that is so wonderfully achieved on Fuji 400h at ISO 200. Thanks for any info! Looks like a wonderful workshop!

Hi Kendra! I almost always shoot 800 with my light meter set to 640, and meter for the shadows. But ultimately that decision is always unique to your style and the particular lighting situation. Definitely have fun trying different things and see how you like it! I personally choose Portra films because I’m not a Fuji fan, but I think 800 is your closest match. Enjoy!
