I’m excited to share more photos of Laura and Dean’s destination wedding to Nantucket! Hopefully you caught their adorable story and Wauwinet ceremony on the blog yesterday!
From there, we rode the Green Willy out to Sankaty Head Light on the way to cocktails and dinner at the Chanticleer in Siasconset.
This footbridge in Sconset provided for a nice little photo break. And by break, I mean PHOTOS.
The sky was just bringin’ it for us at the 8pm hour. It seemed silly to ask Laura and Dean to separate for individual photos, but I feel this might be something I should document?
When a couple chooses a place like Nantucket for their destination wedding, you want to make sure you give them a little “Nantucket” to take back with them! There are beaches and lighthouses, cobblestone and compasses… but somehow the cottages of Sconset just seem to set the scene so perfectly. The homeowner to the left walked out, wine glass in hand, to welcome us into his amazing backdrop.
This is the part where I thanked the heavens above that I had scoped the streets of Sconset the weekend before. I really needed to know that I was leading Laura and Dean in the right direction toward their friends and family!
So nice to join the festivities at the Chanticleer, a beautiful French-style courtyard and restaurant.
Tables flowing with the gorgeousness of Flowers on Chestnut.
The guests took home palmiers, or elephant ear cookies, which is a simple French classic.
The thoughtful toasts warmed everyone’s hearts.
Un bon jour.
Congratulations, Laura and Dean! I’m SO happy to have met you both and have shared in such an incredible day. You carry a glow with you, and Nantucket was blessed to be a part of it.
Planning a Nantucket wedding from Texas is no easy task, and a special shout goes to Veronica of Blue Ivy Events for creating a smooth flowing day!
