I stopped in this past week to take some photos of my friend Melissa over at her amazing little shop, Yummy Goods in West Barnstable.
Is she not the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen? You must check out her shop when you’re in the area. Yummy Goods is so unique, and a much-welcome burst of sunshine along Route 6A. While you’re traveling along the historic road from one point of Cape Cod to the other, you’ll find numerous antique shops and art studios (and the 300-year old home my mom and I both grew up in) that are also pretty neat. When you step inside Yummy Goods, you’ll feel an energy that is fresh, cheery and inviting. Unique gifts for every single person in your life (especially for yourself!). Melissa is always sourcing new products and creating such gorgeous displays using vintage finds like an old claw foot tub, chairs and a refrigerator!
Melissa is also an artist! She’s an incredibly talented fabric designer, and you can check out her recent sewing project BOOK here at Small Stash Sewing!
When you stop in, chances are good that Melissa is painting and creating in the studio space toward the back of the shop, and you’re welcome to pull up a chair and join her. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many local women in the shop over such activities as Valentine’s-crafting, knit-night, and making warm clothing for charity around the holidays. You should probably become a fan on Facebook to stay updated, and I’ll see you there soon!
Thanks for the wonderful visit, as always, Melissa! I love chatting with you, and exploding in smiles and inspiration in your space!
