Earlier last week, I shared one of my all-time favorite sessions on my other blog, Cold Nose Photo!

If you didn’t know this about me already, I’m a huge dog-lover, and photographing dogs is actually how my whole business started in 2009!

This session was a gorgeous day out of Boston Sailing Center with two couples and their dogs – all great friends, and a fantastic Saturday morning together! CLICK HERE to follow over to the full post!

Erika and Adam planned their winter elopement at the Chatham Bars Inn this past December!

It’s definitely one of the coolest honors to be alone with a couple as they say their vows to each other, and to no one else. Winter on Cape Cod is one of the best times to do it – a deserted beach, and the quiet noises from the local fishing pier.

Erika and Adam walked down to the Boat House together, and met me and the lovely Rev. Kathleen Geagan in the sand!

A very warm congratulations to Erika and Adam as they savored the rest of this cozy winter together, and are now welcoming a new spring in their marriage!

Nicole Pelletier - Please contact me with package details a d rates for an elopement this August. Thank you

Kelly and Darren invited their friends and family to join them for a beautiful destination winter wedding at the Banff Springs Hotel this December!

Winter weddings make my heart go pitter-patter already, and being able to return to the gorgeous region of Banff National Park was the icing on the [very cold] cake! And these two are made of the warmest love ever – thank you, Kelly and Darren, for inviting me in to share this celebration with you!

Those following along on Instagram will have learned I have some close ties to Banff – namely in the neighboring town of Canmore. I lived there in the Rockies in the summer of 2011, found amazing friendships in Julie and Adam, and later spent a month in Italy with Julie last spring. She and I are both photographers, and I was lucky to have her alongside for this beautiful Banff wedding! In turn, I went back to Banff again this March to help her with two weddings! Yep – getting my excellent fill of winter weddings in the mountains – perfect!! Maybe we’ll have Julie out this way for some New England weddings soon! (credit to Julie for the above right image! I love knowing she’s capturing creative mountain angles!)

Kelly and Darren got ready with friends at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. It was a festive morning filled with laughter!

The wedding ceremony took place in the stunning Cascade Ballroom of the Hotel. And my absolute fav was them turning to call their dog, Charlie, up to the top of the aisle to walk out with them!

Below is the view from the ballroom as we moved back indoors for an evening of toasts, stories, dancing, and a photo booth! So much of this gorgeous setting, and the smooth planning of the day is attributed to Callandra of Cherry Tree Occasions! Always such a pleasure working with her and her team!

I didn’t want to sign off on this post without sharing a few peeks from Kelly and Darren’s rehearsal dinner at Rocky Mountain Flatbread in Canmore! An ugly-sweater party, just days before Christmas! BEST. EVER.

Lauren - Beautiful! The lighting for the bride & groom portraits is LOVELY!!

It’s always the coolest when a guy contacts a photographer before proposing to his girlfriend… and this past August I was there to capture the moment for David and Tyler!

David reached out to me in August about his upcoming trip to Cape Cod with his girlfriend Tyler, his family traveling up annually from Dallas, TX for more than 22 years. My job was to hang out on Kingsbury Beach in Eastham, like any normal photographer would, and start snapping away when I saw David get down on one knee!

Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows how this story went… the family’s dinner was taking FOREVER and the sun was setting. I waited almost two full hours for the lovebirds to come walking down the beach! “Should I leave? Should I stay? Did something go wrong? Am I at the wrong beach?? I’m at the right beach, right???” Thank goodness everyone on Instagram was on the edge of their seats along with me, ha ha!

Finally, after the sun dipped below the ocean, there they were! I wasn’t close enough to hear their words, and I hoped that my snapping wasn’t obvious until the right moment!

(Above shows my pathway back to the car… gulp! But thankfully someone BBQing in a big family party on the beach gave me a ride down the road after all was said and done!)

She said yes! After their happy words and embraces, I got to meet David and Tyler for the very first time. Such sweethearts, and I couldn’t be happier for them on this exciting adventure!
