Katie and Brian shared a most special weekend on Martha’s Vineyard for their July wedding at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown!

I’ve gotten to know these guys quite well over the last year, first visiting their home in Western MA and then adventuring over to the Vineyard for their ferry engagement photos this past fall. It made it so fun to reach their wedding day and feel like I was celebrating right alongside them!

An absolutely beautiful day, and no better than to sneak in a huge hug with Becca from Petal Floral Design! She worked her magic with such a lovely bridal bouquet, flowers for the ladies and gents, and a positively adorable crown and wand for the flower girl!

And here’s where I introduce you to Audrey, Brian’s beautiful six-year old daughter and now deep within Katie’s heart as well. She also happens to have been the life of the party on the dance floor – those sweet little ballerina toes dancing to the likes of Blurred Lines!

I was six years old on the day of my own parents’ wedding, so watching Audrey on this day brought a special smile for me too.

We snuck out for a little sunset walk down to the lighthouse in Edgartown, which always makes for some sweet, relaxed, pressure’s-off kind of photos at the end of the day :-)

Katie, Brian (and Audrey!), I wish you a huge congratulations on this exciting and beautiful adventure together! Your thoughtfulness in incorporating everyone – including me – in your celebration was so warming. An amazing day, and you will have an amazing life ahead together! XO

    Rev. Kathleen Geagan - Stacey,

What a joy to come upon these photos. It was so great to preside over Brian and Katie’s wedding and to work with you! They were such a great couple and their daughter, Audrey, was darling.

This wedding was so heartfelt and at the same time so hilarious and, as always, you captured it with your lens.

    Karan sahani - So beautiful

Gia and Ilia planned their destination wedding at The Reefs in Southampton, Bermuda this July!

What an absolutely beautiful weekend it was, and they – and their friends and family – could NOT have been more welcoming of me and my husband. We felt like old friends, and that’s certainly my favorite way to get the best, most authentic photos!

Boston natives themselves, they originally began planning a local wedding – but Gia and Ilia just felt right about stealing off to a destination location with their closest loved ones. I think every guest could feel the simple, effortless love they have, both for each other and for everyone present. No stress, just pure happiness. Something everyone deserves on their wedding day!

Gia wore Ilia’s great-grandmother’s jewelry – how amazing!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with local Boston design studio Paper Moss on such a stunning invitation suite! And the gorgeous bouquet by Petals in Hamilton, Bermuda.

LOVE this umbrella-drink name card idea! [pinit]

… And the most rockin’ dance floor, not a care at all to the humid Bermuda weather! Love it!

Gia and Ilia, there are definitely no words for how much Gary and I love you guys! Thank you for being so incredibly generous and welcoming, and we will certainly savor our memories with you in Bermuda for a long time to come! We look forward to catching up with you soon again in Boston, and maybe some of those wildly awesome friends and family of yours too ;-) CONGRATULATIONS!

Kathleen and Pete – two of the sweetest souls on the planet – were married in Darien, CT this June!

I first met these guys for an awesome fall engagement session Dorset, VT last year – you’ll remember their fantastic flannel outfits! Well, I knew then that their wedding was going to share that sweet, down-to-earth, romantic elegance they seem to exude when they’re together (and of course a good dose of rock star dance moves as well!). It was a perfect day all around, and the Darien Community Association such a pretty backdrop for a wedding! Golden doodle Lilly was all too ready for her important job as well!

Kathleen’s dress was one of my most favorite styles ever, and her earrings and shoes a gorgeous match. I was also so excited to finally work with Paloma’s Nest, who made the ring-bearer dishes below!

So many beautiful details, from bird cages at the centerpiece to coffee bean favors. I’m always a sucker for some succulent decorations as well!

Kathleen & Pete (and Lilly!), you guys truly deserve all the beauty and joy that surrounded you on your wedding day, and for many years to come! I’ve had such a blast getting to know you, and I’d love to share another yummy winter cocktail when we’re both in Vermont this year again!
