I’m so excited to share a few shots from Meg and Michael’s wedding at the Nantucket Yacht Club this fall! What a stunning venue and stunning couple!
It was a gorgeous, sunshiney day when I stepped off the ferry to join photographer and friend Brea McDonald for a full day and night celebration on my favorite island. With three of us actually shooting weddings on the island that day, it was quite a sight to see the kitchen table covered in camera equipment, memory cards, batteries and more as we prepared for our adventures!
The boys and girls got ready in gorgeous waterfront locations – Whale’s Tail included! – before kicking things off at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Meg and Michael were beaming ear to ear the entire day! There so was much joy and love in every stage of the celebrations.
We took some time to explore the cobblestone streets of downtown Nantucket while friends and family walked by on their way to the Yacht Club. Notice the real reason the guys had to drink all that Whale’s Tail? It was totally necessary.
Nantucket Yacht Club overlooks the water, and I swear this 100-year old building was actually made for weddings! The back patio is incredible for cocktail hour… the upstairs lounge is perfect for the bridal party… the ballroom is stunning with tall ceilings and balconies just right for wedding photographers ;-)… and the bar is nautical and spacious for the more casual socializing of the evening. I hope I’m able to get back there soon again!
The interior details were beautiful and incorporated all the vibrant colors Meg and Michael chose for their special day. I might have about a million photos of these tables… I think I’ll spare you for today!
Friends and family gave a number of speeches, leading to many laughs and a few tears too.
Congratulations to Meg and Michael on the lifelong adventure you will share! Many thanks to them and to Brea for inviting me into such an incredible day!
You did such an incredible job, Stacey!

And that part about all the gear and cards is SO funny! I had forgotten all about that. We should have taken a photo of the prep :)
