I can’t believe it has taken me some extra time to finally share this amazing Sunday River mountain wedding from the private property of Ski Esta. Melissa and Matt chose such an incredible place to tie the knot last month, and I suppose it just took a little extra time to really tell their story through one blog post. Here goes!
Matt and Melissa’s wedding actually fell on my own birthday, so I snagged good friend Meg Simone – of Meg Simone Wedding Films – to come join me for the weekend getaway. She captured amazing images such as this!
Love these shots of Matt as he was getting dressed – photos by Meg.
What an amazing backdrop, looking out over the Sunday River ski slopes on a sunny (rainy, sunny, rainy, sunny) June day! (photo by Meg)
Butterflies were a special part of the wedding details, so you can imagine how surprised everyone was to see live butterflies down by the covered bridge! (photo by Meg)
More beautiful angles by Meg. These two have a lot of fun together!
As you keep walking throughout Ski Esta, you find amazing balconies, a classic game room, technology-savvy toilets, a sauna and even a gorgeous indoor pool! Melissa wasn’t exactly planning on dunking her whole head in. Matt was lucky for the legal bond, or else he may have found himself sleeping outside that night ;-)
Congratulations Matt and Melissa, and I hope married life is treating you wonderfully! Also a big thanks to this wonderful Maine team:
LifeCycle Celebrant: Jo Maden
Flowers: Pooh Corner Farm
Hair & Make-up: Island Indulgences Spa
Cake: Heavenly Delights Bakery
Catering: Gourmet in a Pinch
Thank you so much for allowing me to be your assistant Stacey :) It was awesome working with you and seeing the day unfold for Melissa and Matt! Lots of fun, and indeed, Matt is lucky he threw Melissa in the pool AFTER they tied the knot! Hope to return to this spectacular setting again (with video cam in tow :) Thanks for sharing some of my images too :)
What a great wedding!
