I’m fresh off the second-annual Inspire Boston mini-conference, a wonderful retreat-style event for photographers. It was a great few days, meeting new friends, new vendors, and hearing various perspectives on current industry topics. The event also provides an opportunity to do a shooting workshop and mentor sessions with fellow photographers. Below are some photos from my shoot with Raw Photo Design team Eric and Amber Langlois!
Definitely a bit more dramatic of a look than you’re used to seeing on my site, but I’ve actually been planning to take a model/volunteer out with me soon so I can show you some of these options. I have so much fun playing with light! It can be dramatic or natural – the above photos were actually all taken at the same time of day, with a very bright and overcast 4pm sky!
Again, I typically show a more natural look from my weddings and portraits, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not sometimes relying on additional lighting to create the scene – even outdoors. It’s important for me to know my equipment for use in any situation, particularly in the constant movement of a wedding day.
Thanks to Eric, Amber and our gorgeous model Lisa for bringing a bit of the playground to me (us) for an afternoon!
Awesome! It was great meeting you this week :)
great to finally meet you this week:):)
Great job! Post these to FB, our models would love to see them! xo
