2012 was an incredible year… I met so many amazing couples and photographed their gorgeous wedding days across New England and the world. I am TRULY blessed to have been able to turn my heels on a long-time corporate career in pursuit of such a creative and fulfilling profession. It’s this time of year most of all that I want to encourage everyone I know to follow their dreams. “A year from now you’ll wish you started today,” – one of my all-time favorite quotes.
This year I photographed in the snow of Mount Washington, springtime in Savannah and Charleston, lovebirds on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, the richness of Boston’s Public Garden, a barn wedding in New Hampshire, the very place of our own wedding in Vermont, an apple orchard in the fall, the vineyards of Sonoma, a fishing pier in Provincetown, the French Quarter of New Orleans, an itty bitty trip to South Africa, and several gorgeous homes and estates around Massachusetts.
I have so many favorite moments, mostly in the small glimpses, the busting-out laughter… the way each couple looks at each other, even when they don’t know the camera’s nearby.
This year literally filled my heart! It is all those newlyweds that I’m thinking about most today, and the lovely engaged couples who are coming into my life for the year ahead.
Already for 2013, I’m looking forward to a Vermont winter wedding, a destination wedding to Playa del Carmen, the month of April in Tuscany, and another wedding in South Africa! I’m also so in love with the nooks of Vermont, Connecticut, Martha’s Vineyard, Boston, New Hampshire and other parts of Massachusetts – the New England I call “home” – in the new year.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to all – the best clients, vendors and friends a girl could ask for! Have a very Happy New Year!
