I’ve been photographing all over Vermont this summer, and it just seems so perfectly suited for a wedding – as romantic as it gets! Rain or shine, mountain or lake (usually both)… The barns, fences, and long gaping fields just ooze LOVE to me! Maybe because I too fell in love in Vermont, and I got married among the same Green Mountains. Whatever it is, Amanda and Gregg’s incredible May celebration was right up there on top!
I captured their engagement photos near Amanda & Gregg’s snowy home town in Jackson, New Hampshire, but they chose Chittenden, Vermont’s Mountain Top Inn & Resort for their lovely spring nuptials. All of their friends and family enjoyed the little getaway to this fantastic property, and I loved capturing it all weekend, from welcome party to dance floor!
Amanda arrived by horse-drawn carriage and it was pure magic.
We ordered up a gorgeous sunset for Amanda and Gregg, just in time! But truthfully, I’m not sure we could have gone wrong with anything the Mountain Top Inn and Vermont’s Green Mountains chose to give us this day. The backdrop was amazing at every turn.
Desserts by the groom’s mom, Janet!
It was such a joy to photograph around the horse stables on the Mountain Top’s property, and the reception barn was new to me on this visit as well. The dark wood exterior was spectacular, and these guys certainly filled the space with gorgeous special touches that made the day truly their own. We even tucked into a corner for some photo booth fun!
I went into this weekend feeling like long friends of Amanda and Gregg, and I couldn’t have been more honored with the trust and thoughtfulness they shared with me. I also had such a blast working alongside one of my bestest pals, filmmaker Meg Simone!
